High-performance E-Image Gastroscope

The Pyongyang Endoscope Factory under the Pyongyang Endoscope Technological Exchange Company produces advanced e-image gastroscopes.

Researchers and manufacturers at the factory, who have manufactured many medical endoscopes and sent them to the public health sector for decades, succeeded in developing light source device for endoscope with domestic raw and other materials.

They introduced a new BLI (Blue Light Imaging) technique based on a celadon LED directly mounted on the tip of a conventional endoscope to make it easy to identify focus and tumour tissues. And they also realized a cold light casting of LEDs mounted on the tip.

Based on this, the researchers proved the safety and scientific accuracy of the endoscope for several years.

Finally they successfully developed the e-image gastroscope with their concerted efforts, wisdom and techniques. The equipment has been introduced into various healthcare institutions in the country.

Kim Il Yong, doctor at Ryonggang County Hospital in Nampho Municipality, said that his hospital has used an e-image gastroscope made by the Pyongyang Endoscope Factory, and that the device helped them make a correct diagnosis as it has a smooth curve control during insertion.

The e-image gastroscope came first at the National Exhibition of Sci-tech Achievements in the Field of Public Health held in November last year.
