With Utmost Sincerity

Medical workers of Unpha County Hospital in North Hwanghae Province have made successes in treating patients.

In late February a woman was rushed to the hospital. She had been hit hard in her abdomen in an accident.

The abdomen of the patient in the 22nd week of gestation was compressed to the maximum due to severe internal bleeding, and her vital signs were almost zero.

The hospital immediately held a consultation at which treatment measures were taken to resuscitate the patient.

Hwang Chun Hwa, head of the obstetric and gynaecologic department, and other doctors of the department performed operation immediately after anti-shock procedures and blood transfusions were done.

The operation was a success.

However, they did not relax but took appropriate treatment measures according to the changing condition of the patient as she was in the state of clinical death when she was carried in.

Their high skills and utmost sincerity worked a miracle.

The patient regained consciousness 24 hours after surgery, and a few months later she left the hospital in good health.

This is not all.

This year alone, the medical workers of the hospital including Hwang Jong Chol, deputy director in charge of technical affairs, Jang Hyon Chol, a doctor of the Emergency Department, have treated dozens of critically ill patients including those with acute left-sided heart failure and gastric perforation complicated with pan-peritonitis and severe systemic poisoning.
