Quintuplets were born in the DPRK for the first time in January last year.

He also contributed to the complete recovery of a parturient woman who was in a critical situation due to days-lasting pregnancy induced hypertension and severe hemorrhage caused by abnormal symptoms.
He also took good care of Kim Chong, a special-class honoured disabled soldier. He tried his best for her pregnancy maintenance, caesarean section, resuscitation and nutritional management. Thanks to his care, she recovered and gave birth to a healthy child.
Last year alone, he cured more than a hundred of most critically ill patients and hundreds of critically ill patients.
As a part-time lecturer at Pyongyang Municipal College of Medical Sciences, he has published dozens of papers, written four reference books and developed many medical appliances.
