By Dint of United Efforts

Surgeons at the Songchon County Hospital in South Phyongan Province have made achievements in medical treatment by dint of united efforts.
In the past, they treated many inhabitants in the county, including a patient with a third degree burn over 70 percent of the body.
Some days ago, they resuscitated a woman from the jaws of death due to a pelvic fracture and right-sided chest crush and complications of various diseases.
They ascribed the miraculous achievements to their united efforts. All the members of the department were united like a family.
Other departments envy its unity.
The department consists of medical workers of different ages and experiences. There is an old-timer in his fifties with decades-long experience. There are also medical workers in their twenties to forties, as well as girl nurses.
The department’s unity owes much to its chief Jo Song Guk, who is now in his thirties.
When a doctor of the department had an operation in hospital, Jo showed concern for the operation, and when a nurse suffered a misfortune, he offered her a sincere help. There are many other stories about his kindred affection for his colleagues.
Impressed by his warm heart and taking their cue from him, his colleagues regarded the pains of their fellows as their own and unhesitatingly devoted themselves to others.
“Skills, medicines and the like are important in medical work. But I think what is more important is the unity of the members of the department. When they pool their wisdom with one mind for treating patients, the collective can grow stronger and achieve greater successes in its work,” said Jo.
