With Kindred Affection

In the DPRK where war veterans are regarded as precious treasures of the country, many people respect and help them.

Among them is Pak Yong Jin, a dental technician of the General Dental Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health.

Shortly ago, he treated a war veteran living in Jongbaek-dong No. 1, Rangnang District, with sincerity.

When he learned that the war veteran, who was nearly 100 year old, was unable to eat properly for a few days because of his teeth, he volunteered for mobile treatment, saying that he was duty-bound to do so as a dental technician.

On his way back home from work Pak visited the old man with various materials and apparatuses needed for his treatment. Afterwards, he went to see him several times with dishes the veteran liked and tonics.

Thanks to Pak’s sincere efforts the old man soon recovered his health. He told the war veteran who expressed thanks that it is the moral obligation of his generation to respect and take care of the victorious wartime generation who devoted their youth and lives unsparingly to defending the country during the war.
