Song Un, chief of the Chest Surgery Department at Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital, has achieved many successes over the past two decades, typical examples being the compilation of over ten textbooks and reference books including “Chest Surgery for Adults” and “Mediastinal Diseases,” the publication of scores of essays like “Recent Trend of Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Treatment” and development of advanced surgical methods of great clinical significance.
