The Wisong Scientists Hospital of the State Academy of Sciences was opened with the completion of the Wisong Scientists Residential District in October Juche 103 (2014).

Covering a wide area, the five-storey hospital has various departments including resuscitation, surgery, internal medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology, plus a dental branch hospital. 

The hospital pays special attention to the health care of scientists. Its medical workers treat scientists and researchers at their workplaces, so that they can keep working in good health. 

They also provide sincere medical services to patients whether they visit them deep at night or early in the morning.

In this way, they have cured many patients.

Some time ago, when a scientist was rushed to the hospital as an emergency, they immediately buckled down to treat him and brought him back to life.

They also cured a daughter of a scientist couple of the toxic dyspepsia and a researcher living in Kwahak-dong No. 1 of drug poisoning.

Choe Un Guk living in Paesan-dong had been crippled after surgery for femoral fracture. Ra Chung Sim at the resuscitation department applied Koryo therapy to him for several months, finally helping him to walk without a walking stick.

The hospital has prepared and sent tonics to war veterans in the district, who are held up as precious treasures of the country.
