For the Health of Teachers and Students
Busy as they are treating the patients visiting the branch, the medical workers at the dentist branch of the Songyo District Hospital are visiting schools in the district for medical service once a week.
Kim Ok Gyong, the branch head, said that protection of teeth during childhood is very important for the growth of children and that it is a duty devolving upon them to take care of the health of children who are regarded as the kings of the country.
On Thursday afternoons, when school is over, they visit primary and middle schools in the district, and check and treat the teeth of teachers and students.
Kim Su Hyang, a student at Sanop Primary School in Songyo District, said that the medical workers at the branch cured her of dental caries.
Ri Un Jong, a teacher at Kangan Primary School in the district, said she was very grateful to the medical workers for visiting her school for medical service.
The medical workers at the branch also visit nurseries and kindergartens frequently to conduct information work related with protection of children’s teeth among the parents and teachers.
In addition to treating patients at the branch, they have invented medical appliances like acrylic resin liquid recycler and calcium hydroxide synthesizing machine.
