Koryo Medicines for Children

Various kinds of Koryo medicines for children including burdock antiviral solution, needle juniper fruit capsules against bedwetting and honeysuckle solution against bronchitis are available at pharmacies in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

An efficacious natural antiviral medicine developed for the first time in the country by applying the principle of traditional Koryo medicine and modern medicine, burdock antiviral solution was patented in Juche 102 (2013). 

As it remarkably reduces the frequency and amount of nocturia, needle juniper fruit capsules against bedwetting made with extract of juniper berries won a patent in Juche 107 (2018).

These medicines were developed by the Samsong Chemists’, which develops and produces various kinds of health foods.  

Medicines produced by the chemists’ have been highly appreciated at exhibitions held in the country.
