The Pyongyang Electronic Medical Appliances Factory has recently produced medical appliances like digital radiography device and MRI device. The functional diagnosis equipment like abdomen ultrasound diagnostic device the factory has recently developed are quite helpful to telemedicine.

The factory has a plan to develop equipment for diagnosing and treating emergency cases and already established various assembly lines to this end.

Thak Pyong Chol, general manager of the factory, says: “Developing a larger number of new products conducive to public health promotion–this is the target my factory has to attain.”
