A Special-Class Honoured Disabled Ex-Soldier Has Given Birth to a Baby

Recently, Pak Kum Byol, a special-class honoured disabled ex-soldier, has given birth to a daughter at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.

At the surprising fact that the paraplegic woman was pregnant, the doctors of Obstetrical Department No. 9 renewed their sense of responsibility.

In order to take good care of her health before operation and cope with any unexpected conditions after childbirth, a detailed treatment plan was drawn up, and all the staff of the department turned out as one to help with her successful delivery.

All the doctors and nurses became a doctor, a nurse, or a caregiver in direct charge of the treatment and worked with devotion for the health of the patient and her baby.

When she was discharged from the hospital in good health, the mother said: I have received treatment and various kinds of nutritious foods such as wild honey free of charge at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, which is called the maiden home of our women; I don’t know how to fully express my gratitude for the social benefits.
