At a Chicken Farm
On February 4, Juche 95 (2006), Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the newly-renovated Hungju Chicken Farm.
While feasting his eyes on a steady flow of eggs from the egg collector in the building for laying hens, he was very pleased, saying it was quite a sight.
An official of the farm explained the collector’s capacity and technical specification to him. Hearing him out, Chairman Kim Jong Il said with satisfaction that its capacity was good and it was better than its counterpart of another similar farm.
At that moment, an unusually large egg rolled out of the collector. Even at a cursory glance, it looked like it weighed more than 100 grams. An official took it out and handed it over to the chairman.
Looking at it with surprise, he said with a hearty laugh that he felt joy in inspecting Jagang Province as the province offered such wonderful sights.
Seeing him so pleased to have more eggs supplied to the people, officials accompanying him were moved by his deep care for the people.
