Personally Naming Hospital

One October day in 2013, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of a children’s hospital nearing completion.

Looking round several places of the hospital, he inquired in detail about the construction work and the installation of medical appliances.

He said that the Party’s intention was fully reflected in every element and every corner of the hospital, to say nothing of the treatment rooms and sickrooms.

He continued that the children’s hospital, together with the recently-built Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and the dental hospital, was well equipped as befits a specialized hospital, adding that it demonstrated the validity of the Party’s policy on public health and the advantages of the socialist healthcare system of the country.

He took measures to provide the intensive care unit with more satisfactory conditions and indicated the ways for putting various operating rooms on a germ-free and dust-free basis.

He personally named the hospital in the Munsu area “Okryu Children’s Hospital”.
