Hospital Dedicated Solely to People

One day in September years ago, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of Ryugyong Dental Hospital nearing completion.

Entering the marquee, Kim Jong Un stopped and said to the officials that the hospital, too, had a driveway to the marquee.

At that moment the officials could not understand what he meant.

After a while, Comrade Kim Jong Un said that such a type of marquee was for the cadres who came by car, and that the dental hospital would be visited by many ordinary people, asking them how many of them could come by car.

He said that if only stairs were built at the marquee the visitors would use them. He continued that he had found a marquee with a driveway made at all the buildings he had visited, stressing that the marquee should be in various forms according to the purpose of the buildings so as to provide convenience for the people.

What he said reflected his request that the convenience of the people should be the starting point and yardstick of all the officials’ thinking and practice.
