Women Would Be Very Pleased
On February 24, 1980, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il visited the completed Pyongyang Maternity Hospital again.
He looked round various places of the hospital including the central hall decorated with splendid jewelry, the TV-installed visitors’ hall, operating theatres, inpatients’ rooms, rooms for newborn babies, treatment rooms, laboratories and doctors’ rooms.
He paid particular attention to the medical facilities of the hospital.
Seeing the sterilization lamps installed in an operating theatre, he said that they seemed small and told officials concerned to test their effectiveness.
He then stressed the need to provide the hospital with the best X-ray equipment and instal modern general dental chairs so that any of the inpatients who needed dental care can receive treatment.
After looking round the hospital for a long time, he said with satisfaction that the hospital is equipped with everything it needs as a hospital and that the women would be very pleased as it has been built on a modern basis.
