Leading Medical Workers to Fully Display Spirit of Devotion
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung paid close attention to preparing medical workers to be true servants of the people by widely generalizing the positive examples created among them and further intensifying the ideological transformation movement.
One day in June 1961, a national conference of activists in the sector of public health was convened in Pyongyang.
At the meeting Kim Il Sung said that the medical workers should become revolutionaries of the Juche type before anyone else in view of the characteristics of their occupation and the importance of their duties, adding that only health workers with the spirit of devotion can faithfully serve the people and that if they make sincere efforts, they can certainly save those even who are in critical conditions.
He then indicated the tasks facing the medical workers.
His instructions served as important guidelines which enabled the health workers, who are directly in charge of public health, to prepare themselves to be revolutionaries of the Juche type by radically transforming their ideological consciousness in line with the mission of the socialist public health system and bring about a great upsurge in the public health service by giving full play to their sincerity.
